History/background
My name is Mark Woods. I have been makeing bamboo flyrods for about 40 yrs on a part time level. ( had to have a regular job to feed the family) I built for mostly local fisherman here in upper New York area. Now that I am retired I will be makeing about 6-8 rods a year and the rest of the time fishing. My friend Joe of Stream Rods and I used to fish our bamboo rod in the streams all over Long Island when we were in our teens and Long Island was not very developted as it is today.
