Hello, My name is Susan and I live here in the Sunny Southwest: New Mexico. Although I am originally from Eastern PA & have lived in many places in the US, I've finally settled down here in the Southwestern US: first in Arizona, now in New Mexico.

I sell modest clothing items that are made personally by me. I do not have any seamstresses working for me as subcontractors like some sellers may have on Ebay. Everything I make is made personally by me: there is attention to detail & made with much love & care, for I love to sew. Items range from ladies' womens'plus size, ladies', misses', to toddlers' and little girls' modest attire: dresses, jumpers, blouses, Amish/Mennonite cape dresses, to underpinnings: bloomers for both ladies and girls. I started doing it because there is great demand for modest and suitable clothing from what I read on mothers' message boards that there is nothing in the stores that are modest that they can purchase for their little girls, or themselves for that matter. So I have created a niche for them to find well-made modest apparel.

I LOVE buying fabric! I am constantly combing the internet and stores for interesting fabrics. Also love buying sewing patterns, especially vintage patterns.

I like to collect tea pots, tea sets, cook books and kerosene lamps & other non-electric, self-sufficiency items.

I create modest apparel for ladies' womens' plus size, young ladies, little girls and toddlers. Every garment is made with the utmost care, backed by 20+ years of professional sewing experience.

Raised in the US, born in Westchester Cty, NY, raised the 1st 8 years in Northern NJ, then grew up until an adult in Eastern PA,(Lehigh Valley) when, from time to time, when traveling westward in the state, I would see the horse and buggy people: the Amish and also the Mennonite. There weren't many near where I grew up; too close to the city! I loved seeing them and would stop and buy from their roadside baked goods stands and also seeing signs saying Quilts, with an arrow pointing down a dirt road! You knew an Amish family lived there! Self-taught myself sewing in my mid-teens, professionally began sewing at 18. Have sewn professionally all over the US and have retired in 1991, when the industry was outsourcing overseas and plants were closing all over the US. Have been custom sewing since then by word of mouth and then the internet. Soon to be opening a website.
