LM386 DC 5V~12V Mini Audio Amplifier Board Amp Module HIFI DIY
Jun 26, 2017
Item is trivial but very useful
The unit is simple to use and the PC board is correctly marked as to the purpose of the connections. One minor point worth knowing about is that the potentiometer increases volume with counter-clockwise movement. Also, the units seem to be shipped with the adjustment set to loud. It was easily loud enough to drive a CB external speaker to a wake-the-wife-up-in-the-next-room levels. My application was to monitor the audio signal going into a 1200 baud modem for a TARPN packet radio node. I soldered the amp into a prototyping board to interface to an IDC ribbon cable.
6pin Speaker Microphone for Kenwood Moblie Radios KMC-30 TK868 TK-880 TK-630

Good feel, sound, function
I don't know how long it will last, but it feels great and sounds great. Nice sturdy feel to the PTT. I'm using them on a TK8180 and a TK760H. This is not anything like the huge microphone that came with these two radios, but it does work and it's a lot cheaper than the original Kenwood replacement microphone.
