Business InformationHistory/background
My business name, Lampwork by the Cats Meow, was named after my two Manx-Mix cats, Nipper and Tucker (Nip & Tuck)! I literally do lampwork by the Cats Meow. Tuck is the immediate supervisor...he is present for every bead that I make. He either sits up on a barstool behind me (properly cushioned by his favorite blanket of course), or he sits directly behind me on my chair, or curled up at my feet. When he thinks I've been at the torch for too long, he lets me know it! Nip on the other hand, takes the role of upper management. She comes down to check in on us from time to time, and will sometimes regally plop on the highest perch to observe. Visit my website and take a peek at my gallery photos...I do take special orders if you see something you like. You can also meet Nip & Tuck...they have their own page! My site is still under construction so be patient and check back frequently! I continually add info and new beads...

About My Beads
My beads are handmade by me and wound on a 1/16 mandrel. To date, I use Moretti/Effetre and German Lauscha, Reichenbach, Double Helix Glassworks, and Vetrofond glass. All of my beads are annealed in a kiln for durability. Due to the uniqueness of handmade lampwork, each bead has its own character or personality if you prefer, so no two beads are exactly alike. I try to be very specific as to the size and shape of the beads in my descriptions. Should you have any questions, just drop me an email and I will respond as soon as possible.
