A Class Act
2 of 2 found this helpful Anne of Green Gables is a heart-warming, enchanting story of a girl with such a fierce spirit and imagination... always trying to do the right thing, but somehow her adventurous nature would get the better of her.
The acting is superb and the cinematography - breathtaking!
And the best part ... it's not a necessity to read the books before watching the films - they are just done so well, you easily get caught up in the story.

It was very compelling, and held my interest throughout the film.
Kristin Stewart was excellent with her portrayal of teen angst, and subtle nuances that made you care about her character.
I originally bought the film because my daughter was an "extra" (she's onscreen for about 5 - 6 seconds during the pep rally), but when I watched the entire film I was very impressed with the story and the acting.
