Better than my Ts9
I used to have a 90s Ibanez ts9, with the turbo switch. That pedal can cover a lot of ground, but I just was looking for that classic tubescreamer sound. I like this pedal better. It has a more natural tube sound, and it responds more like an amp. It cleans up when you roll back on the volume without decreasing your volume too much. This is a great option for fattening up strat sounds when needed. If you looking for high gain, pass in this. But if you're looking for the natural tube breakup thing screamers are legend for, you can't beat this. I've paid for times as much for pedals that don't sound this good!
