I started my first door-to-door business at age seven (more than 40 years ago), and have always found two constants: honesty always works in the end; and you can never anticipate the public. People who expect honesty from me get it; people who can't be honest aren't going to bennefit anyone's business, and only they lose in the end. Be polite, but don't let them waste precious time or emotional energy. Beyond that, don't try to figure out what people will want. The public is unpredictable. Specialize in what you like and enjoy, and help those who share those joys find you.

As most of my stuff is unique, I limit returns. Since I make clear, unconfusing listings, and offer multiple ways to comunicate with me, there really shouldn't be a need for returns. Customers should understand what they're up front. No complaints so far...
