Save your money!
The failure rate is 100% so far. The best one survived about 30 minutes @ 12 volts, most less than that. They are rated at 9-12 volts, so next I'll lower the voltage, but the light output drops off very fast. I've used a lot of different leds with good luck, but never have had failures like this. Yes, i know about current limiting, and voltage regulation.

Kids toy. I bought it to play with my grandson. One of the pair was dead on arrival.
For the price it is not bad. Its a kids toy not a real communication tool.
