We all have revelations in life that alter our way of thinking. One of the things that life has taught me is this...How can you hope for world peace when you can't get along with the people around you.

Currently my passion as a seller is vintage patterns of most every description. I would soon like to become involved with a home store of goods because I adore unique decorating items and pieces that have a tendency to create a warm home. I am sure that a lot of my taste revolves around the houses I was exposed to as a child. My Grandmothers home was filled with cottage appeal. She had antiques, collectibles from my Uncle who was in WWII, and an attic packed with unusual collections and her canned goods. My Dad and Mom were more traditional but Mother had collections of cut glass, a china cabinet of beautiful dishes and did a lot of sewing. I prefer an eclectic design, surrounding myself with strange items that almost have a museum or worldwide feel. I am also not afraid of putting color on the walls and ceiling.

Currently I purchase lots of patterns for resale or individual patterns for my own use. YES, I know how to sew. I look for very stylish looks that have a more uncommon appeal. I love the feminine detail of the 30s, the tailoring of the 40s and the beautiful silhouettes of the 50s.

My personal collections are many but small. I prefer to have several items to collect rather that one thing that I have a ton of. My favorites are wall mirrors, which I put in groups in main areas of the house. I also collect wood hinged boxes that are either very old or have intricate carvings. A few others are pottery, especially for the kitchen, old books with great photography of the times, and menus which I have framed and hanging in the dining area.

I really enjoy the spring months because it allows me to start on my flower pot salad garden for the patio. I do not have land, but I have huge pots filled with tomatoes, peppers, leafy greens and cooking herbs. I am a very good COUNTRY COMTEMPORARY cook and also do all my own baking. I also enjoy sewing, home decorating and maintenance and digging through items at thrift stores, yard sales and attics.

The Color Purple is my absolute favorite. Others are Madame X, Imitation of Life, Dolores Claiborne, Now Voyager and most anything with great SCI-FI effects or super set and costuming.
