How did I get started?
My dad repaired automobile radiators at home in the garage. As a child I spent many hours watching him repairing and soldering these radiators. I repaired a few myself under his supervision.
I also have 35+ years in the metal manufacturing industry. I started as a machine & tool designer and ended as a quality manager. Health problems forced me into early retirement. I have Fibromyalgia, Poly Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and a Failed Multi Level Lumbar Fusion. Needless to say, there are many days that I am just unable to move. Other days I am able to do a little.
Business InformationHistory/background
My hobby for many years was restoring antique automobiles including muscle cars. My health prevents me from doing this now. Recently, my hobby is my sculpting work and the activities associated with it. I enjoy going to local flea markets, thrift stores, and weekend tag sales. Through these activities I get some physical work as well as a mental workout as I imagine how I might use each piece.
8 years ago I was recovering from my third back surgery my Sister was looking for something to put in her garden. I started making bugs from old bottles. People saw them and I was encouraged to do more. I started making different things from different items that I found. I have recently started a repair service for re-soldering copper and brass. These hobbies have been an excellent distraction from the continuous pain that I am in.
Payment policy
At this point I only accept PayPal. Primarily because it's the easiest for me.
Return policy
As a former Quality Manager for a world leading international knife manufscturer, I am acutely aware of the value of quality. I also know the dangers of poor quality. I have done extensive testing on all of the pieces that I make. My products have been designed to withstand the harshest of New England's year round weather conditions.
The items that I make are frequently the focal point and conversation piece in a room or garden. I want every one of my customers to be delighted with their item. I want them to return and tell their friends. I will gaurantee my workmanship for life. I will repair or replace any item that fails under normal useage. The customer need only pay the shipping charges.

Recycling
With the damage to the environment caused by mining & processing the materials I use, it became clear to me that I should be recycling these materials instead of allowing them to be discarded.
