Great in it's day,....
8 of 19 found this helpful I had one of these when they first came out in 1985. Back then they were considered state of the art. Now they're more of a novelty item, but my son is into collecting retro gaming consoles and he wanted one for Christmas. He loves all the old games and this will really make his day. So my rating might be somewhat askew, but only because after 26 years the ease of use of this product without changing the 72 pin connector, well it makes getting it to work properly somewhat challenging. Games should be cleaned too which helps in making these old units work. Remember blowing on the cartridges? Well q-tips and high grade Isopropyl rubbing alcohol works quite well. As for the value for the money, I'm rather shocked by some of the prices these things are going for, but good deals are out their and even heavily used ones are easily put back into working order with parts readily available here on eBay and how-to videos on Youtube.
This product is decent if you or a loved one likes theold school games but doesn't compare to the new fangled, HD goodness of the xBox 360 or the PS3. Hope this review helps some!

Old School Gaming Still Viable Option
We purchased a Nintendo 64 for our son for his 11th Birthday. Even though he has a Wii and a Game Cube, he really just wanted the Nintendo 64. I admit the games are still fun to play and the fact that it still works is a true testament to the reliability of the Nintendo 64 as a whole. The units are cheap to purchase and the games are too and with the economy in the tank who has $500 + to spend on the newer game consoles. My son is happy, and so are we.

An awesome, affordable, laptop that will put a smile on your face!
1 of 1 found this helpful Although this model is 3 years old, it still holds it own against newer PC's. It does everything a laptop should and it does it quite well! It's stylish, comfortable, and the battery life can't be beat! This laptop is affordable and powerful enough for anyone interested in crossing over from a PC to a Mac, to do so without breaking the bank and still have a perfectly decent laptop. I love it, personally and i'm pretty sure if you get one, you will too!
