EGGS! We have many different types of standard and bantam chickens, including: Ameraucanas, Leghorns, Orpingtons, Sex-links, New Hampshire Reds, Dorkings, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Cochins, Silkies, Game hens, Frizzles, Sizzles, Long tailed Japanese Roosters, Japanese bantams, Guinea Fowl and others... In addition to selling eggs for eating and hatching, we raise Muscovy ducks, Sizzles (Silkie-Frizzles crosses) and purebred white bearded Silkies. I periodically sell a variety of chicken-related items such as automatic chicken waterers, hen back protectors and USPS-approved shipping boxes with bio-filters for shipping of live chickens.

CHICKENS!!! Chickens not only free-range over our 35 acre farm (protected by trained Livestock Guard Dogs), but I have chickens in my kitchen, chickens on my porch, chickens who sleep in a coop attached to the house (hung with a sign declaring it the V.I.C. Lounge), chickens who sleep in an aviary (a.k.a. luxurious digs), and chickens in my van (yes, I even had Tailess run an all-day errand with me when she would't get out -- hid under the seat everytime I tried to remove her; she spent the entire trip sitting in the window enjoying the view. I found an egg under the passenger seat when I got home). I also have a chicken who likes nothing better than sitting on top of a parrot cage and looking out the window (she's a bit of a Perch Potato.)

After Katrina drove us out of New Orleans we decided that life is too short to live for retirement; so we bought a farm in Hempstead, Texas, within commuting distance from work in Houston. And it came with all these animals... chickens, ducks, parrots, geese, horses, donkeys, sheep and goats. We decided to sell our chicken eggs to pay for the place; well, let's just say that the chickens support the other farm inhabitants. It's difficult to ship eggs for a low price, but I do my best. I put a lot of time, effort and money into packing them so that they have the best chance to arrive in perfect condition at their destination. I add mandatory insurance into the shipping cost in the event the box is found to be damaged on arrival and the eggs broken.
