Digital Darkroom
The process employed in the computer darkroom does not involve heavy plates, long exposure times, nor toxic chemicals. However, as with the early pioneers, the final image is a function of light, tone and composition. Relieved of the dangers associated with the original process, we can only hope to some day master a technique that ''mirrors the truth''.
Business InformationHistory/background
Welcome and thank you for your interest in Time-less-image. We have been in business since 2004. Time-less-image offers the public unique and affordable Christmas, holiday and greeting cards and fine art note cards and prints. The Christmas cards were designed and painted by Rachel Cochrane. The artwork was created digitally, using Corel Painter, the world's leading natural media painting application. Our original rowing prints make great gifts for the sculler in your life-including yourself! And now we can provide you with enjoyable reading material and graphic art for those long lulls between heats! Both my brother Tom and I have been lifelong readers, collectors and fans of comics since early childhood. I actually remember paying $ 0.05 for my new issue comics! Classic Illustrated books introduced me to some of the American and European classics. Tom owned Comics, Legends & Lore, a store in Lynn, Massachusetts during the 80's. We hope to provide art and reading enjoyment on Ebay.

Rowing and Sculling Lore
The first boat race was the result of a challenge issued to Oxford by Cambridge in 1829. The first Oxford Cambridge boat race was rowed on the Thames at Henley. Oxford wore dark blue jerseys, later to become the Oxford blue, whilst Cambridge donned pink sashes. Oxford were the first winners. The race is the most famous of the Varsity Matches and one of the most popular televised sporting events in Great Britain, with an estimated global television audience of 400 million. Around a quarter of a million people are estimated to watch the race from the riverbank.
Comic Book Lore
The Shadow is a fictional crime fighter created by Walter B Gibson. The character is one of the most famous of the pulp heroes of the 1930s and 1940s. Made even more famous through a popular radio series, the Shadow has since been featured also in comic books, comic strips, television, and at least seven motion pictures.
In the early eighties, Howard Chaykin set comics on their ear with the ground-breaking American Flagg!, a series that didn't just synthesize many of his themes into one cohesive work, but also brought page design, lettering and space into the overall effect of a book in a way that few had attempted. In the mid-eighties, DC tapped Chaykin to reinterpret the classic pulp hero The Shadow for a modern audience.
In June 1985 First Comics published The Shatter. The artwork was initially drawn on a first-generation Mac using a mouse, and printed out on a dot-matrix printer.
