Although new to Ebay, I come from a family of entrepreneurs and artists. Looking for a marketplace adventure, and after some careful research, I decided an online jewelry store was right for me.

Fine gold and silver jewelry set with gorgeous gems like diamond, amythest, sapphire... Rings, earrings, bracelets necklaces. Things for prom and weddings, baby, anniversary, and teen-favs are all in the mix. I'm still getting off the ground and learning the ropes about listings is a project of its own. Ceramics, books, paintings, and backpacking gear and skis. So far: 6 tents, 5 backpacks, 3 stoves, 8 sleeping bags, 4 headlamps, 5 sets of skis, 4 pairs of boots and 3 year-round lockers at Mammoth!

Why a jewelry store? I’m the grand-daughter of two women who were spoiled by good husbands. As a child, I was fascinated by their jewelry chests – one was the size of a large piece of furniture! From them, I learned that having nice things, even if only one or two and inexpensive, is a sweet just-because pleasure. When as an adult I learned that one of my grandmothers mostly had costume jewelry, it didn’t matter: it was beautiful and she cherished it just-because. As a young adult I was on a shoe string budget. As a mature professional, I can afford a little more. Regardless my circumstances, I’ve always valued the self-gift of having a nice thing or two just-because. Whether it’s dried flowers from the yard or a piece of jewelry or the good butter instead of margarine - these things are reminders to ourselves that we are always worth some just-because in our life.
