If you have a modern PS console, it is really great. If not, still great!
If you have a PlayStation Plus membership, this is a great addition. If you don't know about it, free games with the subscription. If you have a PS3 it can remote play and link to it. Same with the PS4, which can do even more with it. The game selection has been built up reasonably well. Games like Killzone and Uncharted look really good. Features are pretty good, but if you have a decent smartphone, this really only functions as a gaming device, but that is what it is truly meant for anyway. The OLED screens of the original system looks amazing, but can use a little battery at times. Touch screen and rear touch panel integration in games is pretty good. Depends on the game, but it can certainly add a lot of function. And finally a handheld device featuring two analog sticks. Makes FPS games exponentially better. The only real detraction is the memory card system. Sony's proprietary system is quite pricey. They did it to counteract hacking the system with standard cards, so to an extent I can sympathize, but still a bit frustrating. A large memory card is a must if you have digital copies of a few games, especially if you subscribe to PS+...So plan accordingly.

Probably the best handheld FPS yet. A must own for the Vita. Looks stellar.
Just because this isn't a 5 star game, doesn't mean it isn't one of the best games on the Vita. The game is a lot of fun. Gameplay: The standard FPS elements are all here. You progress through levels and gain experience, which also doubles as in game currency. There is a pretty cool addition of valor cards, which show how well you play compared to other players and on missions. There are intel items on each level to collect, also giving valor cards. Gun mechanics are all pretty good. Integration of the Vita touch screens are pretty good as well. The campaign itself is pretty short, and is told in 9 chapters all in short bursts. I beat the game on the middle difficulty in 4 hours and 19 minutes for example. BUT, there is plenty more to do in the campaign. I didn't get all intel items, and there are more specialized goals for each mission based around playing style. Precision, covert, and demolition subsets all add a lot to it. I have not yet delved too deeply into multiplayer, but it does seem pretty good. Graphics: The graphics are some of the best I've seen on a handheld yet. The game takes full advantage of the Vita's hardware and is well optimized for it. Occasionally a slight framerate drop occurs, but they are not very common, and last for a short period only. Controls: The controls are very good for a handheld. Dual thumbsticks help immensely on the Vita. As stated, touch integration is pretty well utilized to not make it seem gimmicky. It adds to the experience. Story: The story is fairly decent. It really stresses the make money aspect of it all throughout. Probably my only real gripe. Takes the player through a semi-standard story. Not overly unique, but certainly not horrid either. Overall: One of the best offerings the Vita has, and probably the greatest handheld FPS yet. If you have a Vita, like FPS games, and don't yet have it, get it. You'll have a good time.

A great buy for those looking to keep a full PlayStation library of games!
The fully backwards compatible hardware in the 60 GB PS3 warranted it's purchase for me. I have PS2 and PS1 games that I'd previously used my PS2 system for. The PS3 has a ton of good games to play still and now one less system to have hooked up to the tv. Built in bluetooth, blu-ray drive, replaceable harddrive, tons of media ports, etc. Truly a one piece media hub for an entertainment system. With the release of the eighth generation of consoles, PS4 and XBOX One, the older consoles can be had at pretty reasonable prices. Some complain about the looks of the console, but it really is not that bad. It is a little bulky and you can't put anything on top of it really, but in it's own way, it is good looking.
