The truth about coin certificates........
We get allot of questions on coin certificates. Here's the bottom line.
Outside of a few treasure coins certificates, regular coin certificates that do not show the front and back of your coin, are simply not valid.
These type of certificates are usually available for a couple of bucks and only say that the coin is authentic, their signed and look good, but are pretty worthless.
Why? Here's an example: Someone buys a 1776 French ECU, it's real and they get a certficate that doesn't show a picture of the coin. That person then buys a fake 1776 French ECU and sells it with the certificate. With no picture showing the original coin, any fake coin can be offered with the original COA. It's easily done and you will fall victim to this. No picture, your waisting your money.
This is not valid towards certain treasure coins as they can be easily identified by wreck or land hoard. Just your everyday coin sold here on E-bay.

NGC/ ANACS/ PCGS Who to trust?
Folks NGC, ANACS and PCGS are your top three third party certification companies. Either one you choose is great, I have had no problems with either company.
I hear some sellers say, oh I won't deal with such and such. Who cares? Truth be known, these sellers sent a coin and wanted it graded as MS 64 and it came back as VF 35. Truth hurts. Any one of these 3rd party graders are an excellent choice. Some require a membership and 3rd party grading is not really that cheap, but what you get is piece of mind.
