I am a confirmed antique junkie and love flea markets and tag sales. My favorite is the monthly Rose Bowl Flea, in Pasadena, CA. I comb flea markets, yard sales and auctions on both coasts for the cream of crop and bring my best finds to eBay!

I need to clear my cluttered cottage and will continue listing many treasures. Check back often, as I never know what I will find stashed away...I list books, pottery and dishes, housewares and all sorts of unique collectibles.

I am a true lover of history and have trouble passing those historical markers on the highways and byways of this great country. I have been known to slam on the brakes, make a u-turn, and drive back a couple of miles, just to read a marker about some long ago event or forgotten person. I don't think we realize how important it is to understand events and people of the past...that knowledge gives you a solid sense of direction for the future. Many students I talk with say they are bored in history classes because they are being taught history for just the importance of remembering the date and people involved -- instead, they should be taught history like a story that unfolds before them. The history is the in details, the sidebars, the little know facts that make the event, the date or the person involved, all the more interesting...
