Nestor, the Long-Eared Christmas Donkey
This is a simple & loving movie about a little outcast donkey who is destined to carry Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus on her way with Joseph to Bethlehem. Little Nestor, the donkey, was born with extremely long ears that cause him much sorrow and pain from the other stabled animals where he was born. Because of his long-ears, he and his mother are outcast into a terrible winter storm. His mother doesn't survive because she is protecting him from the storm. An angel visits little Nestor and guides him to a stable far away where Mary and Joseph stop to see if they can buy a donkey for their trip to Bethlehem. They chose Nestor because of his loving eyes. Nestor carries Mary and uses his long ears to shield Mary from the wind and cold on the way to Bethlehem. After Jesus' birth, Nestor returns to the home he was outcast from and is now a hero because he was chosen by God to fulfill the prophecy of Christ's birth. The story is all done through clay-mation & is very simple. This is the second VHS tape that I have bought. My youngest grandson who is 2-1/2 loves this and I wanted to be sure that I had another copy for my future grandchildren.
