eBay My World: tulipjoe( 186)

I've been an avid Movie Poster & Memorabilia Collector for over 20 years now (2009) and still love the joy of finding that one piece of film interest that has escaped me so many times before. I definitely miss collecting prior to the Internet and eBay, and I know both had a role in the collapse of the way things worked before. You could always trust the stores you shopped from, knowing these sellers by name & even got to take the time out to talk 'shop' with them - about what they have collected over the years & what their favourite poster artists are, and so on. The dealers I knew before 1995 are all but out of business now, except for only 3, and they have expressed the desire to hang it up because they just can't compete. The free knowledge and advice they would pass along was priceless! You didn't just 'acquire' whatever movie title you wanted, you really had to search hard to find it. A big THANKS to those true PIONEERS of Movie Poster Collecting, we owe it all to you!
