Sellers and what I have learned: The smart ones understand how disarming it is to simply say "I'm so sorry" when something goes wrong, even when they are not at fault. Effective sellers bend over backwards to try to satisfy the customer. It really doesn't take that much and that's why good sellers seem to find it so easy to do. People with anger problems are in the wrong business as ebayers. Flying off the handle only shuts communication down. Sellers who leave insulting feedback only make themselves look ridiculous. I have to be pushed pretty far before I will bother with negative feedback: I don't like seeing it on my charts. When I do, it's because I have been treated so unfairly or badly that i genuinely feel I am doing other buyers a service by letting them know. But it really pains me to do it. I feel you can tell from my tone that my intentions are not punitive; rather I have been frustrated beyond endurance.
