Being Eclectic
I am 62 years old, and I think I have achieved my goal of becoming a well-rounded person. Of course, we are all becoming who we are; we are never there. However, by cultivating a variety of interests, I have created for myself an interesting life.
I am what you might call a Christian Buddhist. I think it is healthy to meditate, and sometimes to be bored. It seems as if in those boring moments, one breaks through to the core of who we really are. It is in these quiet times that we discover that about ourselves. I don't always have the discipline to stick to an activity everyday, like writing or painting. I wish I had that stick-to-i-tive-ness, that tenacity. I guess it is better to watch oneself and go with whatever we are in the mood to do at the moment. I do enjoy giving to people and sharing what I have with people. I wish I had the courage to serve the homeless, the infirm, and the elderly. Maybe I can find a way to do that. I do tutor children in reading.
Business InformationHistory/background
I was born in the country in the Delta in Arkansas. I went to Arkansas schools and colleges, and graduated with a Master's Degree in English from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteveille, AR. I have two sisters and a brother. I am the eldest. I am 62 and consider myself very fortunate to still have both my parents living. In fact, today, July 13, is my dad's 84th birthday. My mom is 80. I was married in 1969, but my first husband, Guy Beene, was killed in a plane crash in 1973. I remarried in 1980, to Jim Chappell, a photographer, who grew up in Memphis, TN. That is where we live today. I taught full time for the Memphis City Schools for 27 years. Now I teach about 10 hours a week, ESL to Hispanic women. I also, paint, do yoga, teach one little girl art, sing in the choir, read a lot, and generally stay quite busy. My husband and I love to travel, so we do as much of that as we can. I consider myself a country girl who has managed to accumulate a little class and grace

Men's Clothing and Hockey Equipment
That is primarily what I have to sell right now. My son has lost a lot of weight and has a tremendous amount of clothing that is too large for him. Also, he used to play hockey, so we have a lot of hockey equipment that we would like to sell. He owes me quite a bit of money, so this is a way of getting some of it back. It looks like it will be the only way for awhile, since he is still in college.
