I'm the 2% that this product does not work
Whole it did fit my GET refrigerator, the valve mechanism did not work once seated properly. I tried every which way I could and it would not dispense water. This product is probably very good and very economical for 98% of the water dispensers out there, but not mine.

Great product, great price, sturdy design, and HUGE storage space!
6 of 6 found this helpful I've started to piece together a newer home PC and entertainment experience and needed a massive amount of storage space to start ripping my DVD's and backup my Windows based and Mac OSX based computers.
All the other products out there didn't have quite as many interface options available and the chassis for most other products is plastic. This G-Technology HDD has a high-quality metal case with vibration pads, great ventilation, and a fairly speedy RPM. In case you can't tell by the picture, there is a white light just below the G logo that is VERY BRIGHT even when it's not being accessed. So imagine watching a streaming movie from this drive and having a flood light in your peripheral! Cheap solution = black electrical tape.
A word of caution though. I attempted to stream a movie from this product through the USB 2.0 port over my new Airport Extreme Wireless Router using 802.11n to my Macbook Pro in native n speed and it was way too slow. There are very few laptops and peripherals out there with USB 3.0, so your best bet is to keep the G-Technology HDD attached to your Macbook or Windows Laptop with Firewire (super smooth speed), then connect your video/audio ports to your flat screen TV for a truly wonderful experience. The low-tone hum from the HDD spinning is minimal and haven't even noticed it. Some users have commented that the unit is noisy, but it hasn't bothered my family.
After 3 months of using it, I haven't even made a dent in the storage space. Very satisfying experience and look forward to years of service from this very well crafted product.
