eBay My World: whimsical-n-cute( 117)

I am a fairly new seller on eBay. I posted my first items for sale the week of October 23 2008 - just in time for Halloween! Although I am a scientist (Biologist) and university educator by profession, art has always been one of my favorite pastimes.

Being a Biologist, I love nature and wildlife. Birds are a real passion for me, especially parrots of all species. In fact, I have two little ones myself. Travel has always been a big part of my life, and I enjoy the experience of new cultures. I have visited most of Europe, the Middle East, and parts of the Indian Ocean region, North and South America. In Summer 2007, I made a birding trip to Ecuador and became hooked on digital photography of wildlife and nature. Some stock photo agencies now hold some of my photographs on file and some of my photos are now starting to sell. It is very exciting. I have always painted in my spare time and have experimented with all mediums. Pencil and pastel are two definite favorites. Recently, I have tried out inks and watercolors and have been pleased with the results. I recently started painting some ACEOs and enjoyed the experience and results. In October 2008, I posted by first items for sale on eBAY.
