I'm a young woman who enjoys reading a variety of books, listening to a variety of music, and watches movies over and over and over again. At the current time, I'm trying to convert movies from tapes to DVDs.

I've got my nose stuck in one book or another .... Most of my books are historical-related, animal-related, or are faith-based (and most are a combination!). Michael Phillips, Judith Pella, and Jannette Oke are historical fiction/faith-based authors. Jeff Shaara, John Jakes, and Bernard Cornwell are historical-fiction authors. My number one all-time favorite author would still be veterinarian James Herriot. (Although veterinarian John McCormack would come in a close second!) Also have a number of Chicken Soup for the Soul books. A few non-fiction historical authors whose books that I like to read include Bruce Catton, C Brian Kelly, Webb Garrison Jr, Stephen Ambrose, and Alex Kershaw.

Movies ... watching them over and over and over again ... epsecially if they have history, animals, and/or adventure. The Patriot, Gettysburg, North and South, Glory, Titanic, Flyboys, Iron Will, Pearl Harbor, Ike: Countdown to D-Day, Shot from the Sky, Band of Brothers, WindTalkers, Tuskeegee Airmen. Rain and Operation Dumbo Drop. Forrest Gump. Ghosts of Mississippi and Selma, Lord, Selma. World Trade Center. Backdraft, Air Force One, and The Fugitive. Homeward Bound (I & II) and White Fang (I & II). From Jurassic Park and ET to Star Wars and Indiana Jones to Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter (Eagerly awaiting the next one!) to Chronicles of Narnia. Father of the Bride ( I & II) and The Terminal. Mr. Holland's Opus. Only one movie that I watch that I absolutely refuse to watch ALONE is Saving Private Ryan. Lots of others - those are just ones off the top of my head. The last movie I saw in the theater was Marley and Me.

Christian artists include Ray Boltz, Steve Green, Twila Paris, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Rice, and Phillips, Craig, and Dean. Plays include Sound of Music, Camelot, Hello, Dolly!, Annie, Oliver, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Movies include Gettysburg, Titanic, FlyBoys, Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Star Wars, Jurrasic Park, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones. Patriotic music is a variety, but especially John Phillip Sousa's famous marches. Peter, Paul and Mary. Gentle Ocean Surf and A Walk in the Forest nature sounds CDs. Pachabel's Canon Ocean and The Sounds of Yellowstone are a mix of nature sounds and classical music. And then there's the regular orchestra and violin music. Bbands I like include the Beaver County Wind Ensemble, Monaca Coronet Band, Beaver Area BopCats

Family, detectives, lawyers, medical cases, animals, and history. Cold Case. Bones. NCIS. Law and Order and Criminal Minds. Smallville. Without a Trace ER. Num3ers. Monk and Psych. The Closer. Although these are all re-runs now, I still enjoy watching them sometimes JAG and Walker, Texas Ranger. The Waltons, Little House on the Prarie, 7th Heaven. Home Improvement and Full House. Often have good movies on the Hallmark Channel. Then there's the educational channels that I like to watch .... Animal Planet Jeff Corwin Experience, Meerkat Manor, ER Vets/ER Vet Interns, Crocodile Hunter the History Channel and Military Channel, especially if it involves the Civil War. PCN during early July every year ... they broadcast the Gettysburg Battlewalks that coincide with the yearly anniversary of the battle.

If you could pick any time frame anywhere in the world, where would you go? My first choice is the American Civil War. In the past couple of years, I've been interested in learning more about World War II.

I've traveled to a lot of places, even though I haven't left North America. My dad used to work for USAIR, so we could fly non-rev to a lot of places, and my parents and grandparents are big campers, so we've gone camping a lot. I've also gone on a couple of cruises. I've been to every state in New England, both Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, California, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, (technically been in New Mexico since I stood in 4 Corners, but never did anything else in that state so far), Wyoming, and Alaska (twice, in fact). Favorite National Parks Yellowstone National Park Grand Teton National Park Arches National Park Although I've been to Gettysburg twice (once in a downpour), I'd like to go back and follow rangers and battlefield guides.... and go exploring in the new Visitors' Center too. Only other place off the top of my head that I'd like to go to is Hawaii
