Business InformationHistory/background
I first tie-dyed about 20 years ago, then took a 19-year break from it. I've been doing it again, part-time, since March.
Payment policy
Ebay says PayPal only now! I like to have payment within a few days. I'm pretty patient with people. Sometimes I have to open an unpaid item case against someone to get their attention, but I haven't had to leave anyone with an unpaid item strike yet.
Shipping information
I try to find the lowest cost shipping available for your combined shipping. Sometimes this means that lighter items go First Class Mail rather than Priority. You're getting a price break on the shipping, but it does take longer.
Return policy
My business is almost entirely custom items. The clearer you are in your communication, the less likely it will be that I make a mistake. Be watching for questions from me when you order something and answer promptly. A lot of times I need clarification on little points to make sure that I get your item right. That's the workmanship part of it. I no longer accept returns if you order the wrong size and the garment is true to the measurements that I gave, or if I did not give measurements and you did not ask.
Contact information
Since I'll be away from home a lot, contact me through My Messages on eBay. That way I can check my messages anywhere I have an internet connection. If you'd like to see my whole portfolio of work I've done to date, send me your mailing address and I can mail you a CD with hundreds of pictures.
Wholesale, resale, and fundraisers
My prices are close to wholesale on some of my items already. I can come down a little if I'm doing large groups of items with the same design and a simple color scheme. If you purchase items to resell, I can keep track of what you've ordered and can supply you with more in the sizes you need as they sell out.
A little bit of disloyalty to eBay
It's getting harder and harder for me to compete with my handmade goods on eBay. A lot of the lower-priced tie-dye is mass-produced overseas. I have to charge the prices I do to cover expenses, which include some very high final value fees that I have to pay eBay. An excellent alternative and a site that's kind to sellers of handmade goods is Etsy...that's www.etsy.com . I have the same user name there, and my prices are lower there because my costs are lower. Something to think about if you like to buy a lot of handmade and unique items, also crafting supplies.
