Gotta Have NES Classic - Up Up Down Down Left Right...
Even if you didn't grow up with the NES or you didn't own Contra you probably heard about the secret infinite lives code - Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A B A Select State - on the Control Pad before the opening menu scrolls in. Well, Contra is a game perfect for such a code. The bullets fly fast, and without many extra lives, you may find it pretty difficult to beat the game, but with it, you can sit back and enjoy the ride. Game has two types of stages - a side scrolling and a more "Three-dimensional" stage where your character moves left to right and then forward through some sort of cavernous area. Game is best played with two players. You really must have this game to add to any respectible NES collection. With extra lives, the game plays quick, but if you're looking for a challenge, don't enter the code. Like most NES games, the storyline isn't anything to write home about (or even understand unless you have the instructions or look online) but you'll pass the time just fine running around and shooting people.

Wall Street Kid - Possibly Worst NES Game ever
I purchased this game because, as a kid, I had the misfortune of renting this game from Blockbuster and spend the next few days disappointed and frustrated over the nature of this game. Basically, your point of view is from behind a desk and you have to utilize a newspaper and "tips" from people you call to buy stock in order to make enough money to impress/marry your girlfriend or something. It was so bad that now, 20 years later, I had to have the item for my collection of NES games and if you enjoy showing off the best of the best NES games, you need to have some representation of the worst - don't buy this game if you're looking for hours and hours of fun, but buy it to appreciate the sheer awfulness of this game.

Classic NES/Arcade Game
If you hit up the Arcade, you remember Gauntlet, running through mazes from an overhead perspective, looking for keys to get to the next level and trying to find food to increase your health - if memory serves me, that one sound effect of when you found food ("YUM") stuck in your brain for a long time after you stopped playing. One of the best of the Tengen games.
