I love it

Nice casters
1 of 1 found this helpful I went to the hardware store to make sure I had the correct thread and length before buying. They fit perfectly and look great on my coffee table. I needed them because the movers broke one of the original casters which were cast aluminium and not repairable.

High Maintenance
0 of 3 found this helpful I have had bad tough luck with my D 70 First I got the blinking light of death. When I called Nikon I was told there wasn't a recall but I could send it to Nikon. They fixed it for no charge. The camera again stopped working and it was sent back and again Nikon fixed it at no cost and upgraded it internally to a D 70s.
One year later the camera started acting up again and they replaced some electrical parts for around $350 they said it was out of warranty. Just last year it needed cleaned and checked more parts were replaced for another $350. All for 9000 clicks.
It is a fun camera great pictures but it just doesn't seem to be the quality you would expect from Nikon. My friend has a D 100 that he loves. I went on Ebay and bought one for $250. Sensor was dirty that was $100 repair. Great backup because my batteries, memory cards and lens are interchangeable. Now I prefer the D 100 over the D 70.
