Not bad, but was expecting more.
This isn't a bad phone, as far as Smart Phones go. The qwerty keyboard on it is sturdy and comfortable and the display is decent. My two biggest problems with it is 1) The scrolling wheel is rather clumsy / barely works and 2) It has no Wi-Fi, so you have to rely on your cellular bandwidth to surf the net. Still, all in all, not bad. Think of it as a Blackberry Lite.

White Trash's eponymous debut.
This has to be one of the most fun, funkiest rock albums of all time. White Trash (and the Badass Brass) are a vastly underrated funk/metal/rock group that formed in 1985 and released their major label debut in 1991. They got fairly heavy rotation in MTV's "Buzz Bin" with their first single "Apple Pie", and then dropped off the face of the earth. The song, "The Crawl" from this album was later used as the theme for MTV's The Jon Stewart Show in 1993. Every one of the original members left White Trash but the lead singer (Dave Alvin), who reformed it and continued the funk/metal vibe with their second album release, 1994's "Si o Si, Que?" At this point, unfortunately, everyone had moved on to the Seattle sound and White Trash was viewed as unmarketable in the new scene. They disbanded until 2007, when the original line-up got back together to do a show. The reaction was so great that they decided to record another album, which resulted in 2009's "3D Monkeys In Space" and the band is touring again. Anyhow, I've seen this album on the cheap (anywhere from .99¢ to a couple of dollars) all over ebay, so do yourself a favor and pick it up if you run across it. (:

A classic that get's better with age
This is a long lost book from my personal past that I was very delighted to run across again. I purchased it as much for myself as I did my daughter - we both enjoy it in equal measure. It's an extremely well illustrated (and written) book about etiquette and manners (something that seems to be rather lacking these days). On each page, it depicts a "Thingumajig" (a nasty and impolite, yet adorable creature) doing something that is considered rude by polite society. In the bottom corner of each page is a silhouette of a little boy or girl explaining why one should not do what the Thingumajig(s) is doing, followed by an explanation of a polite alternative to the illustrated behavior. It's entertaining without coming off as preachy and it leaves quite an impression (I never forgot it all of the years in between my early childhood until now - which is over 25 years now). Definitely a great buy and a good investment for the future.
