Buy a Ninja you will be happy you did instead of buying a Vitamix.
I have always had vitamix blenders. My blade assembly broke and the motor units I have two both were on their last legs. I contacted vitamix and found out the part I wanted was nearly $100 not including the container. I have loved this blender for the last 20yrs due to it being stainless steele and durable hence the 35yrs old blender...yes it was already 15yrs old when I got it. With all of that said I will be reselling the unit as I have found that new technology is better than the old. The new Ninja is far superior to the vitamix and cost me $120 about the same a vitamix (used from ebay)(or the replacement part from vitamix) would have cost me. Very very happy with the Ninja even tho it is plastic for the container and will probably not last long it is a much better blender...way better... I do not blame you for buying a vitamix as they are a good blender but the replacement parts as as much as a new Ninja...Enjoy! Costco or Walmart has them..
