Welcome to Dave Whitaker's Zion Wind Flutes! I am a retired Professional Photographer and Hiking Guide who 3 years ago took up building Native American Style Flutes as a retirement hobby. I became interested in Native American culture and flutes when I led hikes to Anasazi petroglyph sites. I've always dabbled in woodworking and decided to try building flutes in 2021. I have been selling on the ebay auction site for over 2 years and recently decided to open a store on ebay. The majority of the flutes I build are replicas of actual Native American Flutes from the 1800's to early 1900's. There are not many flute craftsmen building replicas and I find building them both challenging and fun to re-create. Every flute I build is hand made and unique. Most of my flutes are built using no power tools at all, which is also unique. My grandfather was a master craftsman and I use his inherited hand tools to craft my flutes. I think you will find my flutes to be authentic looking replicas.

Dave Whitaker is the flute maker for you if you want the look of past flutes with a modern voice. This flute took longer to arrive, but through no fault of the seller.
